It's All About The Long Tail!
Last month we touched a bit on the concept of 'wagging the long tail' as it pertains to internet search. This article from Wordtracker, a keyword research firm, really delves into what the long tail is and why it can so dramatically improve your website's ranking when people are looking for what you sell.

The Long Tail Works!
Last month we covered the Signs & More PPC (paid advertising) campaign, but this month we've got more...
In addition to running their ad campaign, BrightWay provides monthly search optimization for them. Each month we devise new and ingenious ways to get them to the top pages of Google (since Google owns 80+% of the search market this is our core focus).
This month, we optimized their key product pages and added plenty of long tail search terms. We grouped them according to their product lines and POW!
Now their website shows up on the first page for over 31 search phrases. We got 11 first page rankings for one page alone! Also, since they serve a local market, we zeroed in on the appropriate local search identifiers as well.
These results are amazing considering how competitive the 'sign' business is. There are a lot of sign companies out there and a lot of them running paid ads using Google AdWords. To top it off, this happened in a matter of days, which is really surprising. Organic search results are supposed to take time - but not for Signs & More. They are on the top pages and we couldn't be more proud.
Next month we'll work on improving conversions - getting people to request quotes online...
If you'd like to discuss what we did for them in more detail or you'd like to have BrightWay take a look at long tail terms you could be capitalizing on, just give us a call at 248.709.7882. We'd love to help you wag the long tail!
